Missions Overview
First Baptist Church has always been a mission-minded church. This has been demonstrated through it's involvement in starting ten churches in Macon County and one in Georgia.
Through mission education as well as missions involvement, we have continued to obey Jesus' Great Commission, "Go Ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.
Members at First Baptist Church are involved in community, state, national, and international missions activities. The Woman's Missionary Union and the Baptist Men (a.k.a The Brotherhood) offer opportunities for involvement for all age groups.

In addition to a free meal there are other items (Mainly clothes and househould items) in our Joyful Giving Room. These items are donated by the caring members of our church and are made available for free to anyone attending the Community Lunch.
